The Directorate of traffic and road safety PRO, SP kananura Michael has clarified on the actual number of fatalities so far recorded in the grisly Gulu High way crash to 46 from the initially reported 63.
Initially, Kananura had revealed that 63 people had been confirmed dead and several others injured in the road fatal crash that occurred in the wee hours of Wednesday at Kitaleba Village, near Asili Farm, along the Kampala-Gulu Highway.
However a few hours later, the traffic police PRO noted that the force erred in the number of fatalities after it declared 17 Kiryandongo bus crash survivors dead.
