Police has launched a manhunt for a security guard who shot dead Kampala businessman Anthony Mutinisa, made off with an unspecified amount of money and one his Land Cruiser V8 cars on Sunday at his offices on Martyrs Way in Ntinda Ministers Village.
According to police, the security guard confronted Mutinisa, shot him, and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Luke Owoyesigyire, the Kampala Metropolitan deputy police spokesperson, identified the suspect who is currently on the run as Hillary Byaruhanga, a security guard attached to Don World Security Limited.
“It is alleged that Anthony Mutinisa, the proprietor of Mutinisa Motors Uganda was fatally shot by the security guard on Sunday. The security guard robbed the deceased’s vehicle and a bag containing an unspecified amount of money,” he noted.

Police from Ntinda and Kira Road responded to the shooting and at the scene where they recovered the suspected killer gun with four rounds of ammunition.
The PRO noted that it’s following critical leads as they pursue the suspect.
Mutinisa, has been widely known among Kampala’s elite circles for his thriving vehicle rental business, through which he has been supplying posh cars to ministers, diplomats, and corporate clients.
