The Local Organising Committee of the CHAN/AFCON tournament has warned Ugandans against wearing Jerseys with sensational or alleged abusive messages during the remaining matches at Namboole National Stadium.

The caution was made by Ms Diana Nabuuso, a member of the committee who sternly warned that fans who come dressed with such said inscriptions will not be allowed into the stadium to watch matches starting with Saturdays Quarter Final Match against Senegal.

“Those who come with offensive prints on their T-shirts will not be allowed to enter the stadium. This measure is to ensure peace and discipline during the match,” Ms Nabuuso said.

Nabuuso made the remarks during the committee’s address to journalists at the Uganda Media Centre in Kampala on Wednesday.

Nabuuso emphasized that the messages will not be tolerated anywhere near or in the stadium since they tarnish the country’s image to the outside world.
