A group of unidentified youths on Tuesday dumped eight black piglets bearing inscriptions “DP Bleeds” and “Byabakama wake up” among others at the Democratic Party (DP) headquarters in Kampala.
According to eye witnesses, two men who were part of the group dropped the piglets and fled the scene on a waiting motorcycle.
For years now, different people have used the dumping of pigs at Government institutions, political party’s offices as an expression against corruption or dissatisfaction within the party structures.
The Democratic Party, has in recent years faced a number of internal divisions which has seen several prominent party figures leave one of the oldest political parties in the country and join other opposition parties.
Notably among them was the recent defection of Dr Lulume Bayiga to PFF after the controversial Mbarara DP delegate’s conference where Minister Norbert Mao was reelected as the Party’s President.
