The Savannah Regional Police Spokesperson Sam Twiineamazima, has revealed that the force is hunting for thugs who broke into the FINCA Bank’s Nakasongola branch and made off with UGX 192 million on Tuesday morning.

According to Twiineamazima, the thugs made off with the UGX 192,587,800, two laptops, and other yet-to-be-identified items in a heist that was discovered by the branch manager Kamurasi Fred at 7am who alerted the police.

“The bank was under the protection of SGA security, with two guards assigned to both day and night duty” Twiineamazima revealed.

However, it remains unclear how the thugs bypassed the two security guards who are meant to guard the branch.

Twiineamazima, confirmed the arrest of four suspects to help in the ongoing police investigations in the bank breaking and theft case.
