Atleast one person has been confirmed dead following an accident involving Former Foreign Affairs Minister Rtd Gen.Hajj.JeJe Odongo, along the Soroti – Lira road this evening.
According to first responders, the teenage girl died on the spot in the accident that occured around Arapai Ginnery, in Amen ward, Soroti City at around 6:20 PM.
The NRM District Chairperson kapelebyong, Mr Patrick Ipalat, in a post on his X account confirmed that the Gen has been rushed to a medical facility in Soroti City for emergency treatment.
Details on the exact cause of the accident are still scanty.
