The Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has signalled his intentions to retire from military service and dedicate his life to Jesus Christ after.
In a series of posts on his X account on Friday, Gen Muhoozi revealed that he had accomplished all the tasks, he was required on in the army hence his move to retire from service.
“My time as CDF is coming to an end. I have accomplished all the tasks my God gave me. In a few months I will handover this office to a qualified officer. I shall dedicate my life to Christ after that” he said.
Muhoozi however noted that he will remain in the office for at least another year, during which he intends to increase the pay of privates in the army to UGX 2 million, since his father President Yoweri Museveni, had given him powers over the ministry of finance before he retires.
“My heroes have always been UPDF soldiers. We are struggling to improve their accommodation. But now as I prepare to leave the military, every ÙPDF private must be paid 2,000,000/- as his basic salary. This must start in the next financial year” he said.
He added,”Mzee, has recently given me powers over the Ministry of Finance. They will give UPDF all the funds we need”.
Following the announcement, a number of Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) members have since gone online to congratulate him for his works during his time as the CDF.

Muhoozi To Arrest Ofwono Opondo

Gen Muhoozi, has further warned outspoken former government spokesperson Ofwono Opondo P’Odel, of giving him the basement treatment following his refusal to apologise to him for criticising his Presidential ambitions.
Following several critical comments, Gen Muhoozi recently issued a seven day ultimatum to the MP Older Persons (Eastern Region), to apologise to him, to which Opondo responded by giving him directions to his preferred ancestral home’s burial grounds.
“I hear Ofwono Opondo has a death wish. I’m giving him exactly 7 days to apologize on his knees to me” Muhoozi warned.
To which Opondo replied with, “I have not made my death wish, but if this is this accurate, the 7th day will find me in Mulanda-Ayago, my preferred burial ground”.
Muhoozi has since warned to arrest Opondo and send him to the infamous basement, before noting that he is currently on the run.
“O.O. has been talking about the basement. We shall give him some warm up exercises in the basement. Since he loves it so much” he said,
He added, “I hear O.O. has fled the country. We shall be waiting for him when he attempts to return”.
