The Nakawa Chief Magistrate Esther Nyadoi has charged and remanded former Police boss SSP Nixon Agasirwe to Luzira Upper Prison until July 8, over the 2015 murder of Senior State Prosecutor Joan Kagezi.
Court heard that SSP Agasirwe Nickson karuhanga and others still at large on the 30th day of March 2015 at Kiwatule, Nakawa division with malice afore thought unlawfully caused the death of Joan Kagezi, which is contrary to section 171 and 172 of the penal code Act.
A former kayihura blue eyed boy, Agasirwe, who was arrested last month by a joint security team allegedly coordinated Kagezi’s assassination using a government vehicle, a detail revealed by the key prosecution witness Daniel Kisekka during an earlier trial session at the International Crimes Division of the High Court.
Agasirwe who has been remanded to Luzira prison for the second time was not allowed to take plea since the court doesn’t have jurisdiction to hear the case.
